The 2021 Tom Spangler Golf Classic was a huge success due to the tremendous support of the Knox County community. Supporters sponsored each hole and volunteers helped make sure the event ran like clockwork.

Fountain City Finance, King Cleaners, Cedar Bluff Towing, and Garza Law Firm were the title sponsors.

Although it was a cloudy and rainy day, golfers teed up and enjoyed some golf and fellowship on the beautiful Three Ridges Golf Course. Phil Williams of Talk Radio 98.7 in Knoxville came out to play as well as other local leaders.

Sheriff Spangler said, “I want to thank everyone who played, contributed, and volunteered for our annual Tom Spangler Golf Classic!

I’m very honored and extremely humbled to have your support. Today was a great day, I was prayerful the rain would hold off and allow us to fellowship and play some golf. God is good! Although, we didn’t make it to 18 today, it was a blessed day.

Thank you, Texas Roadhouse for the awesome lunch, our title sponsors who made today possible, Three Ridges Golf Course for the awesome hospitality, and all who contributed!

I’m thankful to have ya’ll on this journey with us. It means the world to both me and Linda.

I would ask that you remember two families in prayer as they mourn the recent loss of their loved ones. Today was both funerals, it saddened me to be able to attend. I know they will appreciate and covet your prayers in the days, weeks and months ahead.

The Seal Family who has special ties to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Percell and Davenport families. Deputy Davenport tragically lost his sister just days before she was set to graduate Hardin Valley Academy.”
