41 years ago National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week began.
lIts purpose is to honor and say Thank You to those who direct our emergency service personnel from call to call.
Those 9-1-1 operators that give life-saving CPR
instruction over the phone and those that walk families through childbirth. During critical incidents, dispatchers can often be that calming voice that guides those in life-threatening, dangerous situations. Often they carry the same lifetime of burdens as the first responders who respond to the scenes. The thin gold line stands right beside the blue and red to ensure they are safe and we are all one team.
This week we stand up and recognize your sacrifices and say THANK YOU!
